To ensure safety and readiness for everyone involved, candidates must:

Be 21 to 42 years old
Have had at least one healthy pregnancy and birth
Maintain a BMI within 20–32
Have a stable, supportive home environment
Be emotionally prepared for the process
Have no criminal history or drug use
Live in VA, MD, DC or a surrogacy-friendly nearby area
Be able to take medications including injections
