Surrogate Requirements

To ensure safety for everyone involved, candidates must:

  • Be between 21 and 42

  • Have one or more previous healthy pregnancies

  • Maintain a BMI within 20–32

  • Be mentally and emotionally prepared for the journey

  • Have no drug use or criminal history

  • Live in VA, MD, DC or a surrogacy-friendly nearby state

  • Be willing to take medications including injections

  • Have a stable and supportive home environment
